Corona Councilman and Retired Police Chief Stan Skipworth
Endorsed by The Press-Enterprise
“Stan Skipworth is the strongest candidate in the 60th District”
(Corona, CA)—Corona Councilman, and retired Police Chief, Stan Skipworth proudly announced the endorsement of his candidacy for the new 60th State Assembly District by The Press-Enterprise.
In their endorsement, The Press-Enterprise states:
“Stan Skipworth is the strongest candidate in the 60th District, which runs from Jurupa Valley to Corona. He has experience in government after serving nearly a [half] dozen years on the Corona City Council. Skipworth advocates reining in the cost of public pensions, by such steps as requiring workers to pay more toward their own retirement. And he recognizes that the state has far more pressing needs than a dubious bullet train project. Skipworth also understands the need to help business thrive in California.”
Skipworth, the retired Police Chief of Long Beach State University, has over 31years of experience in law enforcement and public safety. Elected to the Corona City Council in 2006, he became Mayor in 2011. Stan, and his wife Michell, have 7 children and are active in a number of community and school organizations.
